I had 20 years working in the Tertiary Education Sector championing student rights and now I champion employee rights. I have been immensely proud over the last 6 years to be an Employment Advocate for workers.
I began my Employment Advocacy practice after I experienced Workplace Bullying myself. I learned the processes for resolving challenging workplace situations from the ground up. There is nothing that surprises me anymore having heard it all. I have successfully taken on cases big and small, from getting: unpaid wages paid; fairness in Redundancy situations; and justice for people who have been coerced into resigning. What I want is a fair outcome for people.
The process of resolving Employment Relationship Problems is about helping people work through the situation. My training in Psychology (I have a degree in Psychology from Massey University) and long years of experience as a Manager in Tertiary Education are invaluable as I understand where people are coming from. My clients say they feel listened to and supported to get the right result.
